We are looking for a part-time receptionist/administrator for the Parish Council, working 21 hours per week, from 9 am to 4 pm Wednesday-Friday inclusive.
This is a critical role, as the receptionist is the first point of contact for the Parish Council. The job involves:
handling a wide range of queries from the public, over the counter and by phone and email;
dealing with bookings and taking payments for various services;
general admin tasks including collating papers for Councillors, ordering supplies, dealing with post and updating the website and other records.
You should have:
excellent communication skills and be used to dealing face-to-face with the public.
good computer skills and familiarity with Word, basic Excel processes. and social media.
confidence in handling money and dealing accurately with cash and card payments.
You will need to be a good team player, with a flexible approach and a good sense of humour.
