Chris is not a police employee but works for the Parish Council. His job is to patrol the village giving advice, and if necessary, warnings about community safety and village condition issues of all kinds. He can contact the police on your behalf if problems of criminal activity arise.
He works a shift pattern of early and late hours spread over all seven days of the week, to maintain maximum availability to the community.
Since being in post, Chris has been heavily involved with networking with local agencies including ESCC Highways, Wealden District Council, Operation Crackdown, Water/Gas companies, local shops and businesses.
His intervention has lead to getting potholes fixed, broken and blocked drains repaired and gas leaks dealt with more quickly. He has been able to effectively deal with fly tipping issues and abandoned vehicles which cause issues within the village and will regularly report vehicles to Operation Crackdown that are causing unnecessary obstructions of the highways and pavements.
If you have any concerns about issues within the village or need help in contacting the correct authorities/agencies then please do phone or email Chris on the above details.
